This glasses case has been made using the Chirimen technique.

Chirimen is a Japanese weaving technique of different textiles - often silk, but also wool or synthetic fibre fabric - which developed in the late 16th century. In this process the weft thread is kept tighter than the warp thread during the weaving process. This makes the surface slightly wrinkly, which creates an smooth texture.

Please note, the glasses case comes in assorted patterns and colours may vary.
