40 years ago, two of the most elusive figures in popular culture sat down to discuss love, music and Armageddon. David Bowie and the Beat Generation writer, William Burroughs, posed for the documentary photographer, Terry O'Neill in 1974, who had come to prominence in the 1960s. This one-off meeting between the “Glitter Mainman” and “Beat Grandad” first appeared in Rolling Stone magazine, where the pair gave their first interview together.
Now available as a limited edition of 50. Gelatin silver print printed on fibre-based archival paper.
The estate prints were introduced following the photographer’s passing in 2019 to complete unfinished editions. They have a digitally printed signature and edition number on the bottom front border, embossed over the signature, and estate-stamped and authenticated on reverse.
