Details
The elegant silhouette and vibrant designs of kimono make them a recurring subject for Japanese artists through the ages. This attractive leather cardholder features a design adapted from 19th-century Japanese woodblock print entitled 'Cherry blossoms at night in the garden’ by Yōshū Chikanobu, held in the museum’s East Asia collection.
The cardholder is made by a 3rd generation Scottish company using Tyvek™, a water-resistant synthetic material. The holder is printed inside with the V&A logo.
