Inspired by his Suffolk upbringing, adventuring in rivers and forests, all of Alex Monroe’s collections start life as sketches in his trusty notebook, and are handmade in Bermondsey, London. His jewellery is informed by a fondness for British eccentricity, and the designs are delicate, feminine and eminently wearable. A familiar sight in any sewing box, these tiny shearing scissors are part of Monroe’s haberdashery range, and they even open and close like a full-sized pair.
