Teach your children about the animals of the forest with this fun and educational book. Five animals - a brown bear, wolf, squirrel, otter and deer - are explored through rhyme, pictures and pull-out cards to construct into 3D figures. With two spreads dedicated to each animal, adults will be able to read the short playful rhyme on each spread to children and look at the bright illustrations to teach them about their habits and environment. The inside of the dust jacket is printed full colour with a graphical representation of the animals' environment.

About the designer
McIndoe Design

Maddy McIndoe trained as a textile designer at the University of Manchester before spending a year in South America. Her time abroad, coupled with her love of pattern and colour, has had a lasting influence on her work, which is characterised by a playful, hand-drawn aesthetic. McIndoe's textiles balance quirky prints and illustrations with natural fabrics, mostly cotton, that are designed in classic shapes ensuring the pattern is the garment’s focus.

This season, McIndoe has designed an exclusive his-and-hers shirt for the V&A, whose illustrations are based upon the collections. For instance, a chair refers to an armchair in the collection, which was designed by Robert Adams and made by Thomas Chippendale; an octopus and carp indicates McIndoe’s interest in netsukes and the Utagawa Kuniyoshi woodblock prints in the Japanese collection, while a cabbage teapot suggests a costume design for the Ballet Amore and a peacock indicates the Suzuki Chokichi Bronze Incense Burner.
