DISPLAY: During the 19th-century, the Zuloaga family of Eibar, Spain, perfected the art of decorating iron with beautiful patterns of gold and silver. They spearheaded a European revival of the technique that led to their workds being described as 'a triumph of the metallic art'. This small display shows 3 of their masterpieces alongside flamboyant 16th-century armour, weapons and household goods from Italy, Spain, Egypt and Syria that inspired them.
