Inspired by the Indian textiles held at the V&A, the fabric for this shirt is created using carefully calculated tied resists which are applied to the hand-spun cotton thread. The thread is then woven by hand and the pattern takes shape as the Khadi fabric forms. Textile designer and avid traveller Susan Benn has been having these shirts made to her specifications for 30 years, and has brought them to market as the only shirt you’ll ever need. The practical, loose-fitting, flattering shape suits everyone, with capacious pockets and sumptuous patterns.
