Free UK delivery on orders £60 and over

William Morris took inspiration from the delicate beauty of natural forms, with many of his revered designs featuring flora found in the English countryside. This growbar contains all you need to create a stunning herbaceous border of your own, containing three flowers found in Morris designs including his 1890 pattern Pink and Rose, and the Larkspur wallpaper dating from 1874.

When unwrapped, watered and placed in a sunny spot, the growbar will sprout seedlings of larkspur, dianthus and heartsease, which can be tended, separated and eventually planted outside. Consisting of eco-friendly coir in a recyclable sugar cane wrap, each growbar is carefully hand-made and beautifully packaged by a small team in South London.

About the designer
William Morris

William Morris

Textile designer, writer and social pioneer, William Morris and his work have long been associated with the V&A. In 1865, his company was commissioned to design the West Dining Room at the museum, which features early examples of a number of the organic patterns that would make his name. Born in Walthamstow in 1836, Morris was captivated by nature from childhood, spending much of his time exploring Epping Forest and the surrounding countryside. These themes informed much of his textile design, and his mastery of pattern ensured an enduring appeal.
