Make it: Photography photo

Join photographer Jasprit Singh to learn how the first inventors of photography experimented with materials and nature to capture the world around them.

Choose your subject, put together your picture and explore early techniques inspired by Jasprit’s work and the museum’s collection to create your own photo to take home.

You will learn some key photography skills suitable for all ages which can be used with any photographic equipment.

The workshop is booked to take place in the garden to experiment with natural light, but in case of bad weather it will take place indoors using UV light equipment.

Please click on 'download brochure' on the right-hand side if you'd like to find out more about Jasprit Singh.

All materials will be provided, all sourced sustainably.

No previous photography experience is necessary.

The 10:30 workshop is recommended for ages 5-7; 13:00 is recommended for ages 8-10 and 15:00 is recommended for 11-13. Each workshop is 90 minutes long.

Tickets are £15 minimum for one adult and child pair. You can add extra adult or child tickets to this booking. Please book one £7.5 ticket for each child and for each additional adult attending. Children must be always accompanied by an adult.

Please note that adults will be able to attend only if they've booked a child ticket too.

This is a families event for adults to take part in with their children; no child can be left unattended.
