Context

This series reflects only a selection of all the fees and payments which the Finance Department dealt with during the history of the Arts Council. However, the files illustrate a great deal of the work which the Arts Council financed from the late 1960s to 1980s. This series, for example, includes fee letters relating to exhibitions, poetry readings, workshops, purchasing advice and marketing services.

This series contains: fee offer/acceptance and payment letters, 1968-1973; fee offer/acceptance letters, 1973-1977, 1980-1982; fee payment letters, 1973-1977, 1980-1984; fees for submission to Advisory Committee, 1978-1982; fees approved and listed with Directorate, 1982-1985; art fees, 1984-1987; and fee offer letters and remittance advices, M-Z, 1987-1988.
