Information was initially the responsibility of the Research and Information Unit, which was established in 1973 as part of the Regional Department. In 1976 the Regional Department was disbanded, but the Research and Information Unit remained and was later absorbed within the Personnel and Administration Department.
In 1985 the Research and Information Unit was re-organised with a new Head of Information Services being responsible for four sections including Information/Library. In 1986 this unit became part of the new Marketing and Resources Departmentwithin the new Services Division.
This series consists mainly of information files and administration files. It includes the papers of Gillian Dare and Rod Fisher.

Access to unpublished material less than 30 years old is subject to the written permission of the Arts Council of England. Apply in the first instance to the Archive of Art and Design at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
