Fashion unpicked: CHANEL tweed suit worn by Lauren Bacall

Take a closer look at an elegant rose-pink suit made especially for actress Lauren Bacall in 1959.

Join dressmaking expert Sue Clark as she examines the carefully constructed jacket, skirt and delicate silk blouse ensemble. The couture pieces were made exactly to fit Bacall's measurements and have been finished to the very highest standard.

Watch as Sue shows us the exquisite hand-sewn detailing and uncovers several fascinating hidden features, including wide hems which allow for the skirt to be altered as fashions change, and a secret functional pocket, possibly for a compact or cigarette case.
