Rapid Response Collecting: an introduction

Rapid Response Collecting represents a unique strand of the V&A's collecting activity, with each new acquisition raising different questions about economic, political and social change, globalisation, technology and the law.

This film explores a flag designed for the first Refugee Olympic team; a 'Vote Leave' campaign leaflet distributed in the run-up to the UK's referendum on European Union membership; an internet-enabled soft toy that allows parents to communicate with their children from afar, and a tile made for the exterior of 'A House for Essex' – the holiday home designed by artist Grayson Perry, in collaboration with FAT Architecture.
