Fashion in Motion: Fyodor Golan

Fashion in Motion is a series of live catwalk shows featuring leading fashion designers from across the world. Design duo Fyodor Golan showcased key pieces from their debut A/W 12 womenswear collection Pagan Poetry.

Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman are the designers behind the creative label Fyodor Golan. Describing their ethos as Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde they explore differences rather then similarities. Through an expressive dialogue the designers look for purity in shape and form and for an integrity in textures and detailing, using these elements to create their signature.

Painting is their core and provides a constant source of inspiration through which they create shapes and proportions, mirroring these into garments. Their conceptualist approach fuses beautiful hand detailing and fabric manipulation, inspired by the intricacies of nature.

In 2011 they won the Fashion Fringe award with their collection Flowers of Evil.
