Photography in the galleries

You may take photographs or use a video camera in the galleries, but not with a tripod, monopod or supplementary video lighting.

Flash photography is permitted.

Photography and video is not allowed in the Raphael Galley, The William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery, special exhibitions or where an object’s label indicates a private loan. Photography is not permitted in the shop for commercial reasons.

Photographs or videos taken in the Galleries may only be for personal use.  Commercial use of any kind is not permitted.

Visitors wishing to use a tripod must contact V&A Images for authorisation, in advance of their visit, +44 (0)20 7942 2479 or by email to vanda.images@vam.ac.uk

Press enquiries should be made to the Press Office, +44 (0)20 7942 2502 or by email to press.office@vam.ac.uk

A gift in your will

You may not have thought of including a gift to a museum in your will, but the V&A is a charity and legacies form an important source of funding for our work. It is not just the great collectors and the wealthy who leave legacies to the V&A. Legacies of all sizes, large and small, make a real difference to what we can do and your support can help ensure that future generations enjoy the V&A as much as you have.
