In April 2018, Patrick Thomas was commissioned by RRU News in Liverpool, as part of the Capital of Culture anniversary, to spend 24 hours responding creatively to live global events. His interactive public intervention ‘Breaking News’ incorporated headlines from passers-by with global news feeds. For London Design Festival at the V&A, Thomas re-imagines his original installation in a new setting, for visitors to drop into and help create.
