Curated by Dr Christopher Turner, V&A Keeper of Design, Architecture and Digital, this afternoon of discussion and debate will consider practical ideas for addressing the crisis of availability and affordability of housing in London.

Ten speakers from the fields of design and policy-making will each propose an idea for the future of social housing, highlighting the role the state must play in addressing this issue. While much of the public discourse has focused on the number of homes needed, this session will foreground the crucial role design will play in defining new ways of living, working and raising families in the city today.

Speakers:
Pooja Agrawal: Founder, Public Practice; Principal Project Officer, GLA
Paul Karakusevic: Partner, Karakusevic Carson
Kate Macintosh: Architect
James Murray: Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development, London Assembly
