In this drop-in workshop you will get to experiment with making your own sashiko patch to take home. Discovering how simple skills like patching, mending, & sashiko stitching can breathe new life into the clothes we already own. This workshop is for ages 7-14, children must be accompanied by an adult, Last admission 15:30.

Madeline Tanoto is the founding Director of Mads do & Mend CIC, where our social mission is to empower people and communities to mend their clothes and themselves through craft and creativity. She specialises in teaching textile mending and repair techniques as well as encouraging people to use different creative skills to re-fashion our clothing and think differently about how we can re-use, repair and restore textiles.
