Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand
Both pairs of hands and both pairs of eyes say so much in this shot.
The tension of balance - willing that stone to stay put!
In the words of Jo and Stephen:
'Golden Bay
Well named. We had several days here languishing in the sun. The boys spent it heaving huge rocks into a small river and constructing ever more elaborate fortresses and sculptures. Isaac made a "rocket machine" from driftwood and stones and we collected white quartz stones tinged with red rust spots. Tam made photographs of the lines, rhythmic elements and distortion patterns of the beach at low tide.'
