Swedish Dolls' Houses, 1950-2000
2 October 2004 - 6 February 2005
Do you remember when pine and Formica became the norm and linoleum floors were a must in the kitchen? Bold geometric patterned wallpaper dominated all our homes from the 1950s through to the 1970s.
Home Swede Home featured a series Scandinavian dolls' houses and furniture reflecting the Nordic way of life that has influenced interior design throughout the world. The exhibition was developed in partnership with the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm. The houses were all lent by a private collector.
