Flattening large rolled paper objects
Needing to be flattened was a tightly rolled bundle of papers of tracings of medieval stained glass windows from Fairford Church, Gloucestershire. It was required to assist a craftsman in the restoration of windows at the church.
John Pierpont Morgan
John Pierpont Morgan was a banker, financier and art collector who loaned a portion of his collection to the Museum. His collection of stained glass was given to the Museum by his son.
