Making a gallery: refurbishing the Ceramics galleries 2005-2010
In 2005 the V&A began the task of funding, redesigning and redisplaying the Ceramics galleries so that once more the world's most comprehensive ceramics collection could be secured for the study and enjoyment of future generations. But why has it taken five years and what is involved in the process of creating new galleries at the V&A?

Designing & Making Hats & Hair Accessories
Students will develop their knowledge and understanding of the importance of hats and hairstyles to an overall fashion look, and their knowledge of hats, hairstyles and hair accessories from 1890 to 1910. They will then design a hat or hair accessory to go with an outfit made in that period.
A gift in your will
You may not have thought of including a gift to a museum in your will, but the V&A is a charity and legacies form an important source of funding for our work. It is not just the great collectors and the wealthy who leave legacies to the V&A. Legacies of all sizes, large and small, make a real difference to what we can do and your support can help ensure that future generations enjoy the V&A as much as you have.
