Hello 2026! That came around quick didn’t it? We just blinked and missed Christmas! Alas, it’s now time to focus on the new year – and that means new trends! Yes, that’s right, there’s big predicted styles for 2026 and we’re going to make sure you’re in the know! Here’s five new fashion trends for this year so you can be ahead of the curve…Which one sounds most like you?
Gimme Gummy!

Yes – believe it or not this is actually what it sounds like! This fashion trend is based around the bright colours and shapes of gummy sweets. Think bright reds, greens and yellows with big chunky styles. There’ll be gummy themed phone cases, jewellery and make up. If you’re into bold style and a bit of a sweet tooth, this might just be the 2026 look for you!
Vamp Romantic

If you prefer a darker toned, more mysterious aesthetic, then this might be a bit more your vibe. Vamp romantic is a twist on the ‘new romantic’ underground style that had its moment in the early 1980s (think Boy George with his eccentric style and heavy eyeliner!). This trend takes a hint from that flamboyance but is more on the gothic side (hence the Vampire mention). Think the dark colours of the Twilight movies – this trend will embrace blacks and purples, with dark make up, hair and a bit of spooky glam. It’s halloween style, but all year round!
Glitchy glam

Glitchy glam is the clumsy guy or girl’s best friend! If you’ve been watching this season of The Traitors, you’ll notice Jessie has been rocking this trend – she truly celebrates the unsymmetrical! Have you struggled to get your make up looks matching on each side – fear not – this style will have you making these mistakes on purpose. Fancy getting creative with your new look? Now is your chance without being afraid to mess up!
Khaki coded

If you were into the 90s/ 00s combat trousers comeback, then this might be a bit of you. This practical focused fashion is inspired by travellers, walkers and explorers. It’s clothes that generally are fit for exploring in – but have a street style edge. This is essentially the newest twist on ‘gorp core’ – but with more of a fashion approach to the trend. Think khaki jackets, desert boots in sands, greens and tans. These are clothes that you can wear camping and then out to the cinema – you’re ready for anything!
Wilderkind

If you’re an animal lover, but have never been a huge leopard or zebra print person – then this new trend could be a bit of you! Wilderkind is a softer touch to animal styles, with a more forest led look. Think butterfly wing prints, doe eyed make up and delicate wilderness wears. Greens, blues and browns and fox-like oranges are key to this trend – so earthy and enchanting!
