Study Room resource: Botanical illustration
Prints and drawings, including fashion illustrations, architectural drawings, design drawings, watercolours, posters and much more, not on display in the galleries, can be seen in the Prints, Drawings and RIBA Architecture Study Rooms. To make it easier for teachers and lecturers to access the most popular material with groups, we have developed themed resources which contain original prints and drawings.
These Study Room resources provide a little information about the art of botanical drawing from the 15th century to the present day. A more comprehensive companion is a book entitled Picturing Plants, written by V&A Curator Gill Saunders and available in the Museum Shop.
