Opening 2010
Sculpture 1300 - 1600
Galleries 16a, 25 - 27, located to the east of the John Madejski Garden, are being transformed into beautiful new spaces for the display of stained glass and European sculpture dating from 1300 - 1600AD.
Opening 2012
Furniture Galleries
The Furniture Galleries will open in December 2012 in galleries 133 to 135, located alongside the Ceramics Study Galleries.
New FuturePlan Project
Cast Courts
The V&A is undertaking a major renovation of the Cast Courts. The initial programme of work will focus on Gallery 46 and 46B with the reinstatement of the historic decorative scheme, including restoration of the tiled flooring and an improved lighting scheme.
Opening 2012
Room 40 (Fashion)
Room 40, one of the greatest unnoticed architectural spaces of the museum, is undergoing a transformation. A programme of refurbishments will reveal the historic feautures of the gallery with a new lighting scheme and the renovation of the gallery's mosaic flooring. The gallery will reopen in Spring 2012 with an exciting temporary fashion display, as part of the V&A's commitment to fashion within the public programme.
