The Red Shoes, Danish story
This screen print is inspired by the 1948 Michael Powell film The Red Shoes, a reworking of the Hans Christian Andersen tale of the same name. The title of this piece is the name of the film’s heroine. Little does she know in this picture that the beautiful shoes she is admiring will ultimately lead to her death.
