Museum of Childhood Open daily 10.00 to 17.45 Admission free Menu

Childhood culture is rich, complex and infinitely varied and the Centre will be wide-ranging in its scope, but always child-centred in its approach. Encompassing many different aspects of children’s everyday lives and experiences – past and present, in the UK and beyond – there will be a particular focus on creativity, forms of literacy, and the links between different aspects of childhood culture.
The CCC recently gained ESRC funding for a collaborative PhD entitled ‘Adventures in the City: the Politics and Practice of Adventure Play in Urban Britain, c.1955-97’ to begin October 2016.
