'Poly & Chai', installation by Yung Ho Chang
Between 2 June and 1 September 2008, Yung Ho Chang, one of China’s leading architects, created the installation ‘Poly & Chai’ in the John Madejski Garden. Chang devised a set of free standing screens inspired by traditional Chinese garden designs that are arranged around the space for visitors to walk through.
'Volume', Installation by United Visual Artists and One Point Six
‘Volume’, a luminous interactive installation, transformed the V&A's John Madejski Garden between 24 November 2006 and 28 January 2007. ‘Volume’ was a sculpture of light and sound - an array of light columns positioned dramatically in the centre of the garden.
