“I know…we’ll got to the Victoria and Albert Museum. It’s full of wonderful things, including lots of hats’. Clara clapped her hands in delight. ‘That will be so boring’, grumbled Ollie.”
This weekend we’re inviting families to come and celebrate the Big Draw by designing their own magical hats, inspired by the book Clara Button and the Magical Hat Day.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be a Pop-up Performance of Clara and her naughty brother Olli taking place in the galleries at 11.00, 13.00 and 15.00. We’ll be encouraging people to come on a journey with the two characters and hopefully by the end of it we’ll have convinced Ollie that the V&A definitely isn’t boring!.
On Sunday we’re running a special Drop in Design session from 10.30 – 17.00 where we’re transforming the Lunchroom space on Level 3 into a marvellous magical milliners and asking people to add their own hat designs to the walls.
Do come and join us if you’re free.
More information about the activities taking place this weekend can be found on our Families pages of the website.
