Contracts and procurement
The Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington, London is also associated with the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green. The Museum is classified as a 'Non Departmental Public Body' (NDPB), sponsored by the Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS). The Museum currently spends approximately £35 million annually on a wide range of goods and services.
The V&A Procurement Portal is designed to assist suppliers in submitting relevant business information and tenders. It also gives the ability for potential suppliers to view contract announcements in real time and allow them to register their details.
This Portal establishes the Museum's commitment to its e-procurement programme, with the introduction of electronic tendering, electronic ordering of goods and payment to our suppliers, resulting in improved efficiency and a reduction in costs for us and those who do business with us.
A gift in your will
You may not have thought of including a gift to a museum in your will, but the V&A is a charity and legacies form an important source of funding for our work. It is not just the great collectors and the wealthy who leave legacies to the V&A. Legacies of all sizes, large and small, make a real difference to what we can do and your support can help ensure that future generations enjoy the V&A as much as you have.
