A rare opportunity to meet two of the most informed and entertaining British fashion designers
Enjoy a talk with Zandra Rhodes and David Sassoon as they discuss their life and work against the backdrop of British couture, the fashion boutique and Mary Quant.
Celebrating her 50th year in fashion in 2019, Dame Zandra Rhodes has been a pioneer of the British and international fashion scene since the late '60s, with an undeniably unique signature aesthetic that continues to stand the test of time.
David Sassoon joined the British fashion label Belinda et Cie in 1958, at which point the brand took on the Bellville Sassoon name. Throughout his 55 year long career, the biggest fan of his romantic creations was Diana, Princess of Wales.
Like Quant, Zandra Rhodes and Bellville Sassoon had long-standing relationships with a dressmaking pattern house (Vogue Patterns), enabling audiences to make and wear their designs regardless of location or budget.
