Quant: An Ongoing Legacy

Explore Mary Quant’s impact on contemporary designers

Join April Crichton of Studio LA FETICHE and curator Mhairi Maxwell for this live discussion, to explore Quant’s legacy and ongoing impact on contemporary designers tackling the challenges of today.

Mhairi Maxwell is a Curator at V&A Dundee, working on the Mary Quant exhibition and our newly commissioned film exploring the approach of three contemporary fashion brands to design, branding and identity.

April Crichton is Co-founder of LA FETICHE, a collection of clothing created in both Paris and Glasgow. Following a career in design with Sonia Rykiel in Paris for over 20 years and more recently with Marc Jacobs in NYC, the idea to create a collection of ‘timeless’ pieces working closely with specialised manufacturers in Scotland and France was launched.

This live talk will include closed captions provided by Stagetext and BSL interpretation by Linda Duncan and Julie Wilson.
