Designer Date: Charcot's Kirsty Stevens

Get to know Kirsty Stevens of Charcot, a surface pattern design label inspired by multiple sclerosis (MS)

From her own MRI scans, taken in the lead up to her diagnosis of MS in 2007, designer Kirsty Stevens uses the shapes created by harmful lesions on her brain as source material. Under the Charcot brand she creates beautiful patterns and designs that turn this negative into an unrecognisable positive, incorporating them in high-end design.

This event is part of Dundee Women's Festival.

This monthly series, co-designed with our Young People’s Collective, is a chance to chat with a practicing designer and ask the ‘need to know’ questions. Open to ages 14+.
