New Skills: Engineering Structures

Meet engineers from the Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) and learn more about the principles of construction and design

Domes are brilliant structures but hard to construct. In this collaborative workshop, you will learn how to construct a large-scale dome, harnessing creativity and teamwork skills.

ICE Scotland is a network of engineers who shape the world. With experts from different design backgrounds, they build and maintain Scotland’s transport, water supply and treatment, flood management, waste and energy infrastructure. As a professional body they organise knowledge events and promote civil engineering by working in partnership with industry, government and education.

With a focus on design skills, these monthly practical workshops are led by practicing designers. All materials are provided.
