Funding awarded through Postcode Culture Trust has helped us inspire creativity, learning and participation across Scotland, enabling people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with design and its power to improve lives. Postcode Culture Trust has supported V&A Dundee since before the museum opened its doors. This early investment enabled us to take learning into schools, communities and public spaces across Scotland, delivering more than 100,000 learning engagements before opening in 2018 and helping to build audiences for Scotland’s design museum from the very beginning.
Since opening, the generous support of Postcode Lottery players has enabled us to deliver a further 380,000 learning engagements, giving children, young people, families and communities opportunities to explore design, develop skills and take part in creative learning. The funding has also allowed us to collaborate with other Postcode Lottery-supported charities, including Maggie’s, through our exhibition Maggie’s: Architecture that Cares, which explored the transformative role of design and architecture in health and wellbeing.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to every Postcode Lottery player. By taking part, you help support charities and good causes across the UK, including projects at V&A Dundee that create opportunities for learning, participation and positive social impact.
