Frequently asked questions

Event FAQs

Due to limited capacity within the exhibition space, a one-in-one-out system will be in place, and we cannot guarantee access to David Bowie: On Tour during this event.

Q. When does the event start?

A. Doors will open at 19.30 and the first performance will start at 19.45 (set times will be announced on the night). The museum will close at 23.00 after the last performance ends. There isn't a last entry time, but we encourage you to come along early.

Q. How much are tickets?

A. Tickets are priced at £35 for adults and £25 for concessions.

You will receive your ticket via email and will need to present this to door staff on arrival.

Q. Is there an age limit?

A. This event is 18+ so we will ask to see ID at the door.

Q. Will there be a cloakroom?

A. A cloakroom will be available for coats and jackets on the Upper Foyer on Level 2. It will cost £1 per item and will be card payment only.

Q. Will there be bag searches? What size bag can I bring?

A. Bag searches will be taking place. Bags larger than 38x35x10cm, rucksacks and suitcases must not be brought to this event (medical bags are exempt) and entry with these items will not be permitted.

Q. What else is happening in the museum?

A. Our gallery spaces, including Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show and David Bowie: On Tour, will be open for the duration of the event. There will also be drop-in immersive and interactive experiences running across the museum for you to explore, including a photobooth and face painting.

Q. Is there a dress code?

A. In the spirit of our Catwalk and David Bowie exhibitions, we encourage all visitors to dress up for the event.

Please note, admission to gallery spaces may be refused if your outfit is at risk of causing damage to displays e.g. body paint, loose glitter or sharp edges. However, this will probably mean that you'll be a hit with our Social Media team!

Q. Where's the bar?

A. There will be two bars operating throughout the event. There will be a bar on Level 0 and Tatha Bar & Kitchen will be open on Level 2, serving a selection of drinks. The bars will be card only. Please note, there will be no food served at this event.

Q. Can you accommodate my access needs?

A. We have a range of access provisions available here at the museum, visit our website for more information: Accessibility. If you have any questions or have any access requirements, please email access@vandadundee.org.

Q. Will there be event photography?

A. Photography and filming will be taking place during the event. This content may be used on our website, other digital platforms, and in promotional materials. Please alert a member of our team if you do not wish to be photographed.
