V&A Dundee has appointed four new members to its Board, providing expert advice, scrutiny and oversight to the running of Scotland’s design museum.

The new Board members are John Alexander, Chief Executive of Hillcrest and former Leader of Dundee City Council; Sinéad Burke, founder and CEO of Tilting the Lens; Eliza Easton, founder of Erskine Analysis; and Mark Murray, former Chief Executive of Artemis Investment Management.

They will join experienced leaders from business, climate change, culture, equalities, law and media, and V&A Dundee’s Founding Partners – the V&A, Dundee City Council, Abertay University, the University of Dundee and Scottish Enterprise.

V&A Dundee’s Board is guiding the museum as it looks to its tenth birthday in 2028 and beyond, including the completion of a major project to reimagine the Scottish Design Galleries and improve the wider visitor experience, supported by £2.6 million of capital investment from the UK Government and a private fundraising campaign.

Tim Allan CBE, Chair of V&A Dundee’s Board, said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome four such exceptional figures to the Board of V&A Dundee.

“To make V&A Dundee the very best it can be requires strong funders and supporters, an incredible museum team, and the highest level of strategic leadership and advice from our Board.

“We are looking forward to celebrating ten years of Scotland’s design museum in 2028 and the impact that it has had on the city, the country and the cultural world.

“We are therefore very fortunate indeed to welcome John Alexander, Sinéad Burke, Eliza Easton and Mark Murray to join us and help V&A Dundee take its next steps as a major local, national and international force for cultural, economic and social good.”
