V&A Dundee is Scotland’s design museum. Around us on the waterfront you will see the River Tay, our plaza and ponds, the urban beach and gardens.

There is one main entrance, with sliding automatic doors and step-free access. At our Welcome Desk, friendly Visitor Assistants are happy to help if you would like to pick up tickets or free family-friendly trails, find out about facilities or ask any questions.

Lockers (£1) on the ground floor can store hand-luggage.

Accessible and Changing Places toilets provide free period products and baby-change facilities have a small supply of spare nappies. Outside the toilets there are free water fountains.

Our Quiet Room is available for time away from the hustle and bustle of the museum.

The museum has a large, double-height open space connecting the building’s levels. There are buggy parks on both floors and spacious lifts for step-free access throughout the museum.

You’ll find exhibitions, reading areas, picnic tables, interactive play spaces, our Shop and Cafe. There is a mix of different seating across the building including benches, stools and soft armchairs.

There are small postcard windows across the walls, plus large bright windows next to comfy seats. You can also enjoy river and city views from our balconies.

There are lots of ways to get creative with design and spend time together across the museum. Take a look at our Families programme of events, museum trails and playful drop-in spaces.

Juniper Auditorium is a large space for talks, with a hearing loop, speakers and a large screen. Our two Learning Studios are welcoming spaces for workshops and group activities from age 0 up.

You may see people getting involved and expressing themselves by being excited, noisy or playing.

We are a Scottish Breastfeeding Friendly partner and breastfeeding is welcome in all areas.
