A one-day course with cult signwriter Rachel E Millar, introducing the basics of hand letter work for signwriting. Learning about the history of the craft, you will quickly grasp the principles, tools and skills needed for signwriting including brush strokes and an array of techniques. Putting all of this into practice, you will draft and paint a single letter on board which you can take away at the end of the day to showcase your new skills.

Rachel E Millar is a signwriter and lettering artist based in Glasgow. She designs and paints lettering by hand onto shop fascias, windows, walls and objects for businesses large and small. Working between design, art and craft, she fuses traditional techniques with contemporary design.
