Following the birth of his son, Robbie, a young offender vows to put his criminal past behind him.

Upon striking up a friendship with Harry, the foreman of his Community Payback group, Robbie is introduced to the world of whisky appreciation and displays an unexpected talent as a whisky buff.

Then when a cask of extremely rare and valuable whisky comes up for auction that looks ripe for the taking, Robbie and his friends devise a plan to truly escape their troubled lives.
