A special afternoon celebrating LGBTQ+ design histories
This Pride month we’re exploring decolonial love, the radical act of centring joy, belonging, and visibility for communities whose histories have been hidden. It is a practice of reclaiming and of reimagining who gets to be seen and celebrated within design.
Join us for a tour of the Lavender Labels in our Scottish Design Galleries and our new exhibition, Design and Disability, and learn more about the LGBTQ+ stories connected to the objects on display.
Discover zine-making in a workshop hosted by V&A Dundee’s Young People’s Collective (YPC) - a hands-on DIY practice where you can create your own handmade booklet to share stories, artwork and perspectives.
You can also enjoy a DJ set and a mocktail in Tatha to close the evening and start your Pride celebrations!
In collaboration with co-hosts YPC, Feminist Scholar and Activist Norma Mogrovejo Aquise.
You can book a free ticket and select which sessions you’d like to join.
