Join us to celebrate the Dundee Model Boat Club, one of the oldest continuously functioning model boat clubs in the world!

To mark the 140th anniversary of the club, they will display a small collection of models outside the RSS Discovery and V&A Dundee. Watch demos of the models working in the shallow ponds next to the entrance of V&A Dundee and in front of the Discovery, across Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August.

The club was founded in Dundee in 1885 and has been a community club based at the Swannie Ponds in Stobsmuir ever since. There are over 60 members of the club, and boats are sailed each week at the Swannie Ponds early afternoons each Sunday throughout the year.
