Educators Intro: STEM

Thursday, 22 June 2023

How can design support STEM learning?

Join us for an introduction to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), in collaboration with the teams from the University of Dundee’s School of Science and Engineering, the STEM Learning Ambassador Hub and the Association for BME Engineers Scotland.

Using the Scottish Design Galleries we’ll explore how the collection connects with themes of engineering, architecture and product design, with project case studies, suggested design challenges, briefs and activity demos.

Find out more about how you could use the new STEM library and resources available to support learning in your setting. A range of playful STEM resources will be available to test out together.

This is a great opportunity for all educators to hear about different routes into STEM careers, meet experts from a range of backgrounds and specialisms, then consider how it can inspire meaningful learning in the classroom and community.

Our Learning team will be on hand with info on how you can book a FREE museum tour for your group, as well as discuss further opportunities to engage with STEM outreach.
