Explore! Design in Dundee

Thursday 12 November 2026

Come along for our walking tour with up-and-coming DJCAD graduates and YPC members

V&A Dundee’s Young People’s Collective (YPC), in partnership with BUILDHOLLYWOOD Scotland, — building on last year's series of public artworks by four emerging artists and designers selected from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design 2026 Degree Show.

Join us for a walking tour to explore new work by Ythan Evans, Ailsa MacLennan, Iona Dawson and Sarah Robinson. Curated and produced by YPC, the commissions are installed on hoardings and billboards across Dundee, bringing contemporary creative practice directly into the city's streets.

Led by the participating DJCAD graduates and YPC members, this walking tour offers an opportunity to hear about the creative process behind the commissions and explore how design can shape and transform public space in Dundee.

As part of our Upstart: Creative Careers Festival.

Accessibility

Our route tours regular public access routes and should be accessible for those with additional support needs, with staff members on hand to help if required.

While we cannot confirm the time spent at each billboard, we also welcome those who want to join the tour part way and have listed stops for your convenience. Get in touch if you have any additional concerns at learn@vandadundee.org.
