Cut and construct a sample skirt with designer Tracey Stewart
Over two days you will cut and construct a sample skirt (toile) in calico. Learn a range of construction techniques used in the fashion studio as part of the design and development process. Using a combination of instruction and demonstration of the techniques involved, Tracey will help you develop your skills throughout.
This is the first of two Garment Weekenders and is suitable for both beginners' level and those with basic machine sewing skills. The skirt pattern of one size (medium) will be supplied, along with all materials and equipment.
Tracey Stewart is a Masters fashion graduate from Edinburgh College Of Art and has worked as a designer in London, Milan, Paris and Glasgow. Having worked extensively as a fashion lecturer she now runs her own label and workshops from her studio in Dundee.
