Meet Kirsty Thomas, inspirational designer and co-founder of Tom Pigeon

Join design studio founder Kirsty Thomas as she discusses her route into the creative industries and Tom Pigeon’s current projects. With a mission to create simple crafted objects for people to enjoy, from prints to jewellery and stationery, Kirsty formed the studio in 2014.

You’ll also hear about the Make Bank. This innovative social project addresses issues associated with creative poverty by providing material kits to school pupils and sharing inspirational stories of creatives from diverse backgrounds. The project aims to encourage the creative industries to stand up and create change, to support young talent and to give every young person the opportunity to follow their creative dream.

Kirsty will be available to answer some need-to-know questions at the end of the talk. Part of our Making it: Careers in the Creative Industries series, young people aged 14-24 are encouraged to attend.
