Knit Masterclass with Lydia Morrow
Wednesday 12 August
Add text to knitwear with a duplicate embroidery technique
Learn how to add slogans and phrases to knitwear using the technique of duplicate embroidery, inspired by Lydia’s own joyfully inclusive brand, What Lydia Made. From banners to posters, to sweaters and hats, text within textiles is featured throughout the Design and Disability exhibition as a tool for expression, learning and protest.
This masterclass is facilitated by Lydia Morrow and Becca Lewis, and is designed to be accessible for all skill levels. All materials will be provided to learn the technique, but attendees are welcome to bring their own knit projects to work on.
