An illustrated talk by Matthew Jarron, University of Dundee Museums

Patrick Geddes was an internationally renowned polymath – a town planner, botanist, sociologist, educationalist, environmentalist and cultural catalyst. For over 30 years he was professor of Botany at University College Dundee and pursued various ideas for gardens and green spaces around the city. This talk will explore Geddes’s time in Dundee and some of the many projects he was involved with in the city.
