Join magazine editor Mark Holgate (Vogue US), fashion director Karen Dacre (The Sunday Times’ Style Magazine) and social media commentator Chani Ra (@thefashionnap) in this exclusive panel on fashion show reporting.
With stories direct from the front row, and inspired by our exhibition, Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show, the panel will explore the evolution of fashion journalism, and what it takes to work in the industry today.
This panel will be moderated by exhibition curator, Kirsty Hassard.
About the speakers
Mark Holgate is an Edinburgh-born fashion writer, editor and critic with more than two decades at American Vogue, where he served as Fashion News Director and Global Network Lead. He has reported on runway shows, profiled leading designers and explored the evolving relationship between fashion and culture across print and digital platforms. Beginning his career at British Vogue and New York Magazine, Holgate is also a lifelong magazine enthusiast, with a deep knowledge of independent titles and publishing history.
Karen Dacre is Fashion Director at The Sunday Times Style Magazine and an experienced fashion writer and editor with over 15 years covering the international collections. Formerly at the Evening Standard, she has interviewed some of the world’s most influential designers and reported across fashion and lifestyle. A member of the British Fashion Council, Dacre is known for her engaging storytelling and sharp industry insight, working across editorial and commercial projects with leading publications and global brands alike.
Chani Ra is a London-based content creator, fashion writer and speaker, best known for her platform The Fashion Nap. Building a global following through TikTok, she shares insightful, well-researched perspectives on fashion history, vintage style and iconic industry figures. Her work combines accessible storytelling with deep knowledge, and she regularly interviews key voices in fashion. She represents a new generation of digital fashion commentators connecting audiences with style’s past and present.
