Drop in throughout the holidays for a family-friendly daily design challenge, inspired by Tartan and the Scottish Design Galleries.

Our team of designers will be on hand to help you create your own unique furniture and interior designs to transform our studio into a surreal tartan-tastic tearoom!

On the big screen, check out the latest Shaping Stories video 'Tea for Two’, created with dance company Shaper Caper, inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Oak Room.

Our studio has been reimagined by Scottish fashion designer Louise Gray, taking inspiration from Tartan’s themes of activism, rebellion and expressing yourself. Dress up and snap a selfie with our vibrant, recycled tartan and neon costumes.

This activity is free and suitable for families of all shapes and sizes.

This event is part of the national Family Learning Festival, inspiring a love of shared learning through curiosity.
